Description

Spectrum programming is for UMBC community members who identify as trans, genderqueer, gender fluid, outside of the gender binary, and/or those who are questioning their gender identity.

In recognition of Transgender Day of Remembrance, Spectrum will be gathering together with food, community, and support. The "main dish" will be provided by the Women's Center and Mosaic Center and we're encouraging Spectrum members to bring other snacks, desserts, or drinks to give the space a true potluck feel.

Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) is an annual observance on November 20 that honors the memory of those whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence. This potluck event is an opportunity for new and returning participants of Spectrum to come together as a community to remember those who have passed in addition to practicing self-care and taking care of each other.

The Women's Center is located on the ground floor of The Commons - by the Yum Shop.

Spectrum  is sponsored by the Women’s Center and the Mosaic CenterFor further information please contact us at womenscenter@umbc.edu and/or mosaic@umbc.edu.
