This Hispanic Heritage Month, the Women’s Center invites you to dive into the life, activism, and legacy of Dolores Huerta, a labor leader and feminist icon. Now co-founder of the United Farm Workers Association, at 92, she continues to advocate for the rights of women and workers. Join us Wednesday, October 19th from 1:30-3:30pm in our lounge space for a screening of Dolores (2017) and Q&A discussion!
Refreshments will be provided at this event. You can find us on the bottom floor of The Commons, next to the Yum Shoppe and Dunkins'! We are also encouraging the use of masks to protect our immunocompromised community members.
Disclaimer: Throughout the film there will be short archival videos of police brutality towards protestors, farmworkers and Dolores Huerta. Please take caution towards possibly sensitive material.
