The Women and Gender Minorities in STEM discussion group makes space for women and gender minority students, faculty, and staff to explore their experiences studying in the STEM field.
On Thursday, March 30th from 10-11 AM in the Women's Center Lounge, we will be holding an active discussion event in collaboration with the Center for Women in Technology (CWIT) about the barriers that women and gender minorities face in STEM fields, discuss how to overcome those barriers, and discuss our experiences on how you've felt supported on campus.
Light refreshments and snacks will be provided at the discussion. It is encouraged to wear a mask in the Women's Center.
This programs follows the Women's Center Brave Space model to provide a welcoming community and learning environment for women and femmes of color interested in cultivating visibility, advocacy, and engagement around the intersections of gender and race.
