Description
November 20th is the official date of National Transgender Day of Remembrance. To honor this, the quilt made by the UMBC community will be on display in the Commons Main Street from 10am to 4pm to spread awareness of the rippling effects of transphobia and gender-based harm.
Squares of the quilt were made by the UMBC community and they honor the lives and untimely deaths of those who have lost their lives because of transphobia.
If you would like to make a square or add one for the quilt, visit the Women's Center (M-Th) or the Pride Center (Fri) for supplies and additional information.
This event is part of a series of events from the Women's Center in collaboration with the Pride Center for LGBTQIA2+ Diversity in honor of Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDoR).
