Description
Join the Spectrum discussion group in the Women’s Center lounge for our second meeting of the Fall 2024 semester!
We will be discussing trans and non-binary identities in media; including how canon and headcanons play a role in character interpretation. Come with your favorite trans or non-binary character in mind! You do not need to have attended previous sessions to attend, newcomers are welcome!

The Spectrum Discussion Group makes space for UMBC community members who identify as trans, genderqueer, gender fluid, outside of the gender binary, and/or those who are questioning their gender identity and those who are allies, regardless of their sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. This discussion-based program follows the Women’s Center Brave Space model to provide a welcoming environment and thoughtful community to engage in conversations focused on the experiences of the transgender community.
Fall 2024: We meet every other week on Tuesdays at 1pm in the Women's Center Lounge!
