Description

The Clothesline Project at UMBC is displayed in October for Relationship Violence Awareness Month.

The Clothesline Project is an opportunity for survivors of sexual assault and relationship violence to express their emotions by decorating a shirt to give voice to their experience. These shirts are then hung on a clothesline as a public testimony to the problem of sexual and gendered violence.

Shirt-making supplies are going to be available for survivors to create a shirt for the Clothesline Project as part of their healing process from October 2nd-14th during Women's Center hours (Mon-Thurs, 9:30-5pm).

Display will be on October 15th.

*Please note: The Clothesline Project is intended to make visible the experiences of people impacted by sexual assault and relationship violence. We ask that only those who identify as survivors or who are close to someone who is a survivor make t-shirts to be displayed in the Project*
