Location
The Commons : 004
Date & Time
March 25, 2025, 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Description
Join the Spectrum discussion group in the Women’s, Gender, & Equity Center lounge for the fourth meeting of the semester. Anyone may attend regardless of whether they have attended prior meetings.
To celebrate Transgender Day of Visibility, we will be creating ID cards that reflect on us more accurately. Discussion will center around visibility and gender expression.
This event is facilitated by Ash Acuña.
The Spectrum Discussion Group makes space for UMBC community members who identify as trans, genderqueer, gender fluid, outside of the gender binary, and/or those who are questioning their gender identity and those who are allies, regardless of their sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. This discussion-based program follows the Women’s Center Brave Space model to provide a welcoming environment and thoughtful community to engage in conversations focused on the experiences of the transgender community.
Spring 2025: We meet every other week on Tuesdays at 3pm in the Women's Center Lounge!
If you have any questions, concerns, or want to know more about the group, email us at womenscenter@umbc.edu.
