We’ll also discuss how we navigate today’s complex political landscape and explore how our unique positionalities empower us to create lasting change.

This meeting is open for full participation by all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or any other protected category under applicable federal law, state law, and the University's nondiscrimination policy.

WOCC will take place in person in the Women's Center, biweekly throughout the Spring semester. If you would like to receive reminders and details about the meetings, please follow our myUMBC and Instagram pages.
All self-identified women and femmes of color students, staff, and faculty are welcome to share their stories and learn about others’ experiences at Women of Color Collective. This discussion-based program follows the Women’s Center Brave Space model to provide a welcoming environment and thoughtful community to engage in conversations focused on the intersections of gender and race. This group centers the experiences of women and femmes of color and is open to all individuals regardless of their sex, gender, race, ethnicity, or national origin; we request that students do not use this space for class research or interviews.
UMBC is committed to creating an accessible and inclusive environment for all students, staff, faculty, and visitors.
