Date & Time

Description

Shirt-making for the Clothesline Project and rally sign-making will take place from April 1–17. The Clothesline Project will be displayed on April 8 and again on April 17 for Take Back the Night, where rally signs will be used during the march.

Survivors of power-based violence are invited to create a t-shirt as part of this longstanding public art project. For years, UMBC students, faculty, and staff have shared their experiences with sexual and relationship violence through these shirts, which will be displayed as if the survivors themselves are telling their stories.

Shirt-making supplies will be available throughout April in the Women's Center. Shirts completed before April 17th will be included in the April displays, while those made afterward will be featured in future exhibits, including Take Back the Night and Relationship Violence Awareness Month in October.

**This event is open for full participation by all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or any other protected category under applicable federal law, state law, and the University's nondiscrimination policy.**
