Description
Join the Spectrum discussion group in the Women’s, Gender, & Equity Center lounge for the first meeting of the semester. Anyone may attend regardless of whether they have attended prior meetings.
At our first meeting we will welcome new and returning participants with introductions, set community standards together to guide how we want to engage in discussion, and brainstorm topics and activities we’d like to see from the group this semester.

The Spectrum Discussion Group makes space for UMBC community members who identify as trans, genderqueer, gender fluid, outside of the gender binary, and/or those who are questioning their gender identity and those who are allies, regardless of their sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. This discussion-based program follows the Women’s Center Brave Space model to provide a welcoming environment and thoughtful community to engage in conversations focused on the experiences of the transgender community.
Fall 2025: We meet every other week on Wednesdays at 2pm in the Women's Center Lounge!

This group centers trans, non-binary, and gender-questioning experiences; we request that students do not use this space for class research or interviews.
