Description

10/9 Topic: What are you doing to take care of yourself during midterms? Managing stress and balancing schoolwork can be challenging. If you are feeling overwhelmed by school or life, Headspace is the place to be! Come daydream a life of rest 🙂

The Headspace discussion group aims to create a safe and empowering space centered around neurodiversity and neurodivergent people. We will adhere to the Women's, Gender, & Equity Center Brave Space guidelines. Brave Space guidelines model, to aid us in cultivating a thoughtful community and engaging conversations. This group is centered around self-identified neurodivergent voices and experiences, particularly undergraduate and graduate students. We welcome all students, staff, and faculty to learn more about neurodiversity, regardless of their sex, gender, race, ethnicity, or national origin; we request that students do not use this space for class research or interviews. This group will take place biweekly in the Women's, Gender, & Equity Center.

If you have any questions, concerns, or want to know more about the group, email us at womenscenter@umbc.edu.

Please note: UMBC is committed to creating an accessible and inclusive environment for all students, staff, faculty, and visitors. If you have difficulties accessing any of the materials on our site or any of our events or discussions, please contact us so that we can provide an alternative format and/or remedy any accessibility challenges.

The Women's, Gender, & Equity Center and this event is open for full participation by all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or any other protected category under applicable federal law, state law, and the University's nondiscrimination policy.
