Women of Color Coalition Meeting
Sexuality
Location
On Campus : Women's Center
Date & Time
December 12, 2017, 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Description
Hey All! It's our last meeting before break! This week we're going to be exploring sexuality for women of color. We'll be discussing how sexuality looks differently for every woman of color. Often, women of color have to navigate through media's representation of mainstream sexuality, harmful stereotypes of women of color, and their communities values in figuring out their own sexuality.
We look forward to seeing you come out on Tuesday and hearing about your experiences!
Women of Color Coalition provides a supportive space for women of color to come together for conversation, networking, and advocacy.
All self-identified women of color students, faculty, and staff are welcome to join our biweekly conversations!
This program follows the Women’s Center Brave Space model to provide a welcoming community and learning environment for women of color interested in cultivating visibility, advocacy, and engagement around the intersections of gender and race. For safety and confidentially reasons, this is a closed meeting for those those who identify as a woman of color and it is not appropriate for students to use the space for class research or interviews.
