Women of Color Coalition Meeting
Location
On Campus : Women's Center
Date & Time
November 6, 2018, 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Description
This week in Women of Color Coalition, we are going to discuss whether the way we organize as Women of Color is actually doing us justice. Have you ever engaged in oppression olympics with other women of color? Have you ever felt that your racist experiences have been muted in Women of Color organizations?
"Women of Color" is a large category encompassing women of many different ethnicities. This week we are going to be looking at the different ways white supremacy affects us and how we can better support our women of color sisters! We hope to see you there.
Women of Color Coalition provides a supportive space for women of color to come together for conversation, networking, and advocacy.
All self-identified women of color students, faculty, and staff are welcome to join our biweekly conversations!
This program follows the Women’s Center Brave Space model to provide a welcoming community and learning environment for women of color interested in cultivating visibility, advocacy, and engagement around the intersections of gender and race.
