CSJ: Igniting Consciousness into the Immigrant Experience
Location
The Commons : Skylight Room
Date & Time
October 24, 2018, 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm
Description
Over the past year and half, Campus Life’s Mosaic has previously hosted multiple DACA and TPS info sessions featuring campus community members, local activists and non-profit organizations. Due to constantly changing policies impacting various immigrant communities, several of these changes have left UMBC immigrant members with uncertainty and fear. Despite these changes, several folks have used this moment to increase their visibility and promote activism. This event is in recognition of these students' voiced and I Stand With Immigrants Action Day.
As with previous DACA and TPS Info Sessions, there will be time allotted at the end of the event to answer any questions privately. You may also submit your questions in advance, by visiting tinyurl.com/csjimmigrant.
This event will feature a panel presentation with on and off campus community members including:
Heavy Hors d'oeuvres will be served! All undergrads, grads, staff, and faculty including allies are encouraged to attend!
