Description

This event has been cancelled... but we'll offer it again in the fall semester!

+++++

This event centers the experiences of UMBC undergraduate adult learners.
An adult learner is an undergraduate student 25 years and older.  While many of the Women's Center events center the experience of women and non-binary students, we're excited to partner with Off Campus Student Services and have this event center all genders.

Back by popular demand! Join UMBC adult learners, faculty, staff and alumni for networking resources and skill-building opportunities right from your living room (or wherever is most comfy!). Throughout this event, participants will learn from guest presenters on the benefits of networking and the power of relationship building. Additionally, participants will be provided the opportunity to networking with their peers and UMBC faculty, staff, or alum through networking rounds.

We're excited to announce that our guest presenter is UMBC Class of 2015 alum, Wafa Raja. Wafa was a Returning Women Student Scholar and part of the CWIT Scholars Community. She currently works as a Cyber Security Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman.

We will be using Webex as our event platform. We recommend that participants use their laptops/desktops for this event as mobile devices and tablets are not supported for break-out rooms in Webex. If you do not have access to a non-mobile device you are still welcome to participate but will not be able to join the networking breakout sessions.

RSVP is required and is limited to the first 30 students who sign up. Students must sign-up by April 5th in order to participate by RSVPing via this Google Form.

Please note: UMBC is committed to creating an accessible and inclusive environment for all students, staff, faculty, and visitors. If you have difficulties accessing any of the materials on our site or any of our events or discussions, please contact us so that we can provide an alternative format and/or remedy any accessibility challenges.
