Intimate Partner Violence Awareness Month

Join the Women's Center for all of our events for IPV Week

October is Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) Awareness Month, a crucial time to raise awareness about the violence impacting students on college campuses and around the world. By fostering conversations and promoting prevention, we can create safer environments where everyone is empowered to build healthy, respectful relationships. Let's honor survivors, support those affected, and commit to ending campus violence through education, resources, and collective action.

Tuesday, October 15th: The Clothesline Project @ Main Street in the Commons 11am - 4pm

The Clothesline Project gives voice to the experiences of survivors, victims, families, and friends who have been affected by violence. The Women's Center will be providing materials for those who identify as survivors or victims of violence to decorate t-shirts to add to our clothesline project display.
Students, faculty, and staff have made t-shirts describing their experience with relationship violence and sexual assault. These t-shirts will be hung shoulder-to-shoulder on a clothesline for public viewing, as if the survivors are there themselves, telling us their stories.
