Applications Open for Women's, Gender & Equity Center Graduate Assistantship 2025-26
- Current graduate student at UMBC enrolled for Fall 2025 and planning to enroll for Spring 2026.
- Academic good standing (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0).
- Demonstrated commitment to advancing gender equity through an intersectional feminist lens.
- Experience or strong interest in assessment, data collection, and research methodologies.
- Proficiency or willingness to learn data analysis software/tools (e.g., SPSS, Excel, Qualtrics).
- Assist with the design and implementation of assessment strategies for programs and services offered by the Women's, Gender, & Equity Center.
- Collect, manage, and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate program effectiveness and student engagement.
- Compile research findings into accessible reports and presentations for diverse campus stakeholders.
- Conduct literature reviews and background research to inform and enhance Center programming.
- Collaborate closely with staff to translate research findings into actionable recommendations.
- Plan and facilitate programs and support groups specifically tailored for graduate students
- Contribute to writing blog posts or brief articles reflecting research outcomes and insights relevant to gender equity and social justice.
- Fill out the online Google Form application.
- Submit through the provided Box submission link a cover letter highlighting your interest in gender equity, assessment, group facilitation, and research.
- Submit through the provided Box submission link a recent copy of your resume/CV.
- Submit through the provided Box submission link one writing sample (maximum of 4 pages, double-spaced), ideally demonstrating research or assessment skills. First-person perspective writing samples preferred.
- Clearly name all files with your first and last name.
- Only complete applications (Google Form, cover letter, resume, and writing sample) will be reviewed.
- Applications will be reviewed and interviews scheduled on a rolling basis.
