A year ago our community spoke out about their experiences and urgent concerns about the university’s response to sexual violence. We listened and responded with the Retriever Courage initiative. We believe that it is time to gather again as a community and talk about what we’ve learned, what we’ve done, and the next steps we can take together to make UMBC a safer, more caring living, learning, and working environment for all. Please consider attending our Fall Gathering on September 18, from 4 - 6 p.m. in the University Center Ballroom. During this event, the Retriever Courage Implementation Team and other campus partners will share a range of updates about the steps we are taking to improve the University’s response and ultimately prevent violence in our community. In addition, there will be a panel discussion where community members will have the chance to ask questions or provide feedback.
