October is Relationship Violence Awareness Month
- Clothesline Project t-shirt making is available all of October in the Women's Center. For more details on the Clothesline Project, visit the Women's Center myUMBC page.
- Understanding Trauma for Students Survivors of Intimate Partner Violence: A Faculty and Staff Workshop presented by TurnAround Inc on Tuesday, October 8th from 9:30-11am in the Women’s Center. RSVP is required through the Women’s Center’s myUMBC page.
- Supporting Survivors of Sexual Violence: Cultivating a Survivor-Responsive Campus Workshop for students on Thursday, October 17th from 5:30-7pm. Students can RSVP here.
- The month will conclude with The Clothesline Project Display will be Monday, October 28th from 11am-4pm on Commons Main Street.
- Understand the impact of power-based personal violence on campus and in various communities
- Learn how to identify power-based personal violence and respond within the bounds of your strengths and limitations
- Practice newly developed skills to be prepared for enacting this in your daily life
